Finished phantom liberty for the second time and this time sided with Reed.
Good Lord this ending is so depressing. I literally put my controller down and just stared at the screen when V hugged So Mi.
I decided to Kill So Mi in the end. This game is so beautiful yet so depressing ffs i don't know if I'll be able to recover from this.

I think people who sided with Reed has shit taste They’re going to literally no doubt put her back like a guinea pig.
Reed was nothing but a dog being around I’m happy that I picked the killing moon because
I rather trust in Songbird than be a dumbass giving her to Reed… 🤦🏾♀️

You did the right thing. Her pain is over.
IMO, this is actually the best ending (unless you count letting Meyers die lol). Spoilers for all kinds of stuff, obviously:
>! Sending her to the NUSA alive, after siding with either her or Reed, seems to end exactly as she predicts: her being enslaved as a tool to breach the blackwall, a fate worse than death. !<
>! Sending her to the moon on the other hand, while seeming like a good choice at first, is probably transferring her out of the frying pan and into the fire. Her contact is Mr. Blue Eyes – the same guy from The Sun ending and Dream On. If you’ve played the latter quest, you’ll know the kind of stuff this guy and his organization are up to, so… not looking good for her, to say the least. !<
Letting her die seems to be the most merciful outcome, and protects the world from the corps wielding her as a weapon.
I am forever in awe at just how badly they allow you to fuck up in this game. I always choose what I think is right. Seeing people go down the wrong path is insane
I choose to betray Reed and bust Songbird out. The epic shootout at the airport! But when she told me that she lied and there was no hope, I genuinely felt hurt and betrayed. So I handed her over to Reed. The ending that follows broke me. First was literally killing Johnny, then never having cybernetics anymore, then my love interest Panam not talking to me, and that final conversation and ending cutscene? One of the best games I’ve ever played.
I killed her this time as well, it was the best outcome for her I think. You also get to keep your cyberware and the story flows better, you don’t just get dumped on a bench.
