This map still is difficult to navigate with , its so frustrating and confusing. Not to mention you cant fast travel back to ship.Any contenders for the worst map?
Yes, when I first played i got lost so many times. I say its the worst of them all

Control is for me the worst map of all games I played, but Fallen Order cuts it close

Yea its very bad design, layers and elevation is so bad in this game
slothboy
It really is and Survivor doubles down. Worst map in gaming history.

I stopped playing the game cause of the map

The bad map plus backtracking plus long load times plus dying a lot (which really only matters because of the terrible load times) made this game unplayable for me. Too much time spent not actually *playing* the game. And it was otherwise so interesting – compelling story, fun combat.

Yeah I couldn’t handle the backtracking and the awful map combination after a few hours

I did appreciate the color coding of unexplored paths/doors. It’s nice for a metroidvania-type game to know when you haven’t unlocked the right ability to progress to an area yet.

Wait until you get to Survivor! Only the “change elevation UP” keybinds works, you can’t go down a level! But as someone else said, I do appreciate how spoiley it is about places you aren’t supposed to be able to go to yet. Prevents some waste of time trying to get there.

As hardcore soulsborne fan I really really really wanted to like this game. I just could not get it to click. The level design, the map, the controls all felt really awkward. I know a lot of that is on me but I’m glad to see at least I wasn’t alone in all my opinions.

Ha ha ha. I remember thinking the same.

Gameplay is fun, but the constant retread of areas you’ve beaten, enemies respawned, just to be able to open a new door or jump higher is painful.

3 Games I was greatly enjoying until I starting not to know where to goto next. Jedi Fallen Order, Control, Jedi Survivor…
I seriously want them to handhold me with freakin arrows to know where to go to next.

It is and I don’t think anyone debates that lol. It was so bad the devs made a ton of changes to it in Survivor.

By far the worst aspect of the game is the map

I absolutely adore this game. It’s literally the only game I’ve ever 100%’d before. I rate it up there with some of my favorite FromSoft games. It singlehandedly convinces me I am in fact a Star Wars fan despite only liking 2.5 movies.
The map is fucking dog shit.

holy shit i just realized, they stole the look from DOOM 2016 basically
