From what I understand the damage that has been done to processors already is irreversible and there has been no statement made about recalling damaged cpus. But there has already been an update in the bios to keep the cpus that are undamaged from running high enough to become damaged at the cost of performance but the update in August is supposed to resolve the problem entirely for the yet to be damaged cpus. I’m just saying intel first blamed motherboard manufacturers and the end user. This whole thing has been a mess from the beginning. Amd it is.

Intel has been dealing with instability issues in their 13th and 14th Gen desktop CPUs . These issues have caused crashes and BSODs for the past two years. Recently, they identified the root cause: elevated operating voltage due to a microcode algorithm. While there’s no full recall, Intel plans to release a microcode patch in mid-August. This patch won’t fix already damaged CPUs, but it aims to prevent further damage in unaffected chips. it’s been quite a rollercoaster for Intel, with some finger-pointing at motherboard manufacturers and end users.
