When I built my PC I thought that a monitor with more than 60 Hz or more than 1080p would be of no use to me, how wrong I was.

Everything looks better, the jump from 60 Hz to 180 Hz is enormous and even the simplest tasks feel more fluid, not to mention the games, they look sharper and less pixelated.

I won't be back to 1080p as my main monitor ever again.

    I made a similar jump and I agree, when I see 1080p monitors I feel like I can see all the pixels

    Kind of a weird question but can you share details of which cable you use for displayport/hdmi? I also have a 1440p/180Hz monitor and a RX6700XT but couldnt get any cable to work full performance.

    Long time 1080p. Enjoy it. I sure do! *I kept my old monitors too* Get a good multiple monitor setup. I got 3 altogether. One for tasking. One for internet browsing. And the other strictly for gaming (the OLED is a delicate panel).

    I got my 1440p monitor 4 months back and it’s one of those purchase that I did not regret. I used 1080p 60hz office monitor before and it died and I was thinking getting 1080p monitor as a replacement but it’s like few dollars more I could get 1440p during a sale and I did and man the upgrade is justified. I feel I could see every pixels on display. One problem with having 1440p display is my GPU (Zotac RTX 3070 dual fans), it made so much noise whenever I play so I had to underclock it so the noise would go away.

    I’m waiting for prices to drop on 1440p 27inch oled monitors before jumping from my trusted Asus VG259QM 1080p 280hz IPS monitor. The colour richness of OLED and the crispness of 1440p res looks amazing together.

    50″ Vizio, 4K at 120Hz.  I’m too old to tell the difference past 144, so 120 is enough.  Also does 240Hz at 1080p, but I always game at 1440p.  👌

    9 mo. ago I got my first 1440p 240hz monitor and it’s exactly like getting a new pair of glasses after wearing the same pair for well over 3-4 years.

    How on earth was I content with 1080p?
