It really does seem like Tech Jesus has placed his sites on a *very* big player this time, with a lot at stake for them.

Screw ups can happen, the important thing is how company solves a screw up, and so far Intel either tries to sweep this problem under a rug or wait and do nothing with hopes some workaround will help.
And if Intel wont actually announce a proper solution, i think tech jesus gona go to Town, harder than ever before.

That’s the nice thing if the CPUs are so similar performance wise and GPU is mostly the real issue: If one company has a major fuckup, you always have a equally capable fall-back.
And personally I feel like you could still buy Intel if you want to put up with the RMA process, because I doubt that Intel is willing to risk a massive shitshow when they fight against (apparently justifiable) RMA claims once a chip blows up

Does all 13-14th gen having this problem? All from the 13100T to the 14900KF? Because everywhere, they just illustrate these with i9’s exclusively. Are there any source that took this topic that actually tested or has confirmed cases where a 13400 cpu got affected? That’s what I want to know.
Should 13400 users be prepared for problems, or it only sucks for NASA scientists using i9’s?

As much as I love AMD, Intel was always “just works”. AMD has its own quirks in linux and still some features have no support there.

I just LOVED that one post the other week. The guy was like “I know Intel has some problems, but I want a 13900k or 14900k; which one of those will have less problems? I’m not interested in AMD.” I mean…dude…
