Totally agree! More pixellated games for the win, right?

  2. underprivlidged

More games in the style of a CGI movie?

The peace negotiation scene was the bomb

What do you mean, this is basically every Final Fantasy cinematic since like FF9

Actually one of my favourite movies. I love the lore, the fights, the music, it’s so good!

  6. its… called Realism? its a very popular style, you see it when you go outside.

Nobody in the Mainstream would Care about that.

I really disliked this movie, but i feel studios should make CGI movies more

The studio that made this movie has been making video game movies for years. They did the resident evil CGI movies.

It’s okay. I feel like everybody looks the same. All males look like the same generic male model face. All females have the same generic almost anime, slightly big eyes, small chin, face.

I remember watching Final Fantasy Spirits Within in the cinema. Man… that… was not time well spent.

Bro picked the biggest flop to prove his point

This looks like the Revenge of the Sith poster which is not very surprising seeing who made the game.

A friend in 8th grade answered me with this back in 2004; and I think it still applies now.

Imagine the amount of processing power and memory necessary to support a full game entirely via a CGI art style!

Granted the game I was referencing way back when was Final Fantasy X; even nowadays technology would probably be hard-pressed to create a game no longer than or even shorter than a standard CGI DVD movie length. Adding in the many potential dynamic things happening such as character input movements and environment changes; I don’t think a full CGI-style game is ever going to happen.

I’m thinking maybe OP meant more video game film adaptations in that style? Which is basically the same/similar style to FF7: Advent Children or the Resident Evil movies (not live action obviously). And if that’s the point they were making: I agree. I really enjoy these films. Granted: I didn’t like the story of 15, but I enjoyed the film for what it was.

    Counterpoint:

We need fewer video game adaptations in that style.

Kingsglaive is the major inspiration for my current Pathfinder game!

I’ll be down for retelling cgi movies of kingdom hearts.
