Nvidia Reflex increasing frametimes on my setup?

  1. Okay, so I have been doing some testing using fps benchmark map and CapFrameX. Trying to achieve the lowest frametimes and smoothest in-game experience possible.

    Setup:

    Ryzen 7800x3d, DDR5 6000Mhz, RTX 3070, 360hz display, NVME SSD, Windows 11

Resizeable Bar, Game Mode and HAGS are turned ON. G-SYNC is turned ON. Nvidia Driver version 560.70

I have been running benchmarks with results seen in screenshots. I started by testing out different variations of VSYNC. VSYNC adds some latency, so I prefer capping FPS with RTSS to 360 and running it with G-SYNC only.

Last thing I tried was turning off Nvidia Reflex to see what happens. And I was quite shocked of the results, as the game actually ran much smoother. Frametimes are lower and the 1% FPS increased from 193 to 260!

I’m quite baffled by this. Isn’t Nvidia Reflex supposed to lower frametimes? Has anyone else gotten similar results?

Yeah I read about that and turned off the nvidia reflex and actually improved my fps. I also tested it on my cousins pc which had a 3060 and a ryzen 7 5700x and it improved the fps by quite a bit.
