Fletcher Dunn: “Just got another trace from a CS2 player using Process Lasso and adjusting process priorities. These “optimizations” appear to be causing stalls. A thread is ready to run, CPUs are available to run it, but the kernel choices are restricted, so we stall. Please don’t do this”

I was getting insane crashes with Process Lasso, ever since formatting and not installing it again i have had basically zero crashes where i used to blue screen at least 2-3 times a night playing
It worked for so long with CSGO so i kept using it because of the he disable E-Cores thing for Intel CPUs
This is totally fair, but at the same time, this is sort of the gaming world version of shadow IT. If the game ran well in the fucking first place, nobody would be fucking around with process lasso in an attempt to gleen a little more performance.
This has been my experience as well. Was messing around with process lasso to gain some few extra fps, but was noticing more and more crashes. Ever since I stopped using it, the crashes stopped.
thats normal if idiots put the priority to real time or whatever it was
