I noticed it many times playing war mode. Often, the matchmaking is bad: like in your case, or sometimes just putting the best players all together versus some noobs. Very annoying, as a non balanced game is really unpleasant for both sides

Just kidding, it’s because the matchmaking can suck a big one at times. This particular version of War is/was my go-to in WW2. I hate the new version in MW3. Back on topic though… I would just back out and matchmake again.
