Space Quest, Kings Quest, and Heroes Quest were my crack when I was young!

That clearly says Space Quest 12.

I’ve been trying to play Space Quest 6 for decades.
I don’t have the right computer to run it đ
I remember playing that game for hours. Just walking around. It always froze about 3/4 of the way through, I don’t think I ever beat it.

Sierra games were my childhood in the late 80s/early 90s. Adventure games were all the rage back then and they basically got killed off hard when Doom came out.
I held a hatred for FPS games for a looooong time. I flat out refused to play them until 2016 when some friends recommended Overwatch and I got hooked.
Fortunately adventure has seen a bit of resurgence in the past few years. Nothing will beat those old Sierra games though.
Still remember learning that I needed to save often and save a new file each time because there were dead ends. Youâd visit an area and if you forgot to pick up the dog bone or some other shit then you didnât have it for later and there was no way to return to those areas.
Worst part is sometimes youâd examine the item first and the game would tell you âThis item looks pretty worthless. Should probably leave it here but you can take it if you wantâ.
As a little kid I didnât realize they were being pranksters and I was like âAh ok, leaving it here thenâ

Damn Iâd forgotten just how much I loved the narrator for this game.
