I mean with how CPUs are architected now with multiple physical and logical cores then assuming an application is hyperthreaded.. is it that much science fiction?
Does it count if you have 28 cpu’s at 1 Ghz?

Everybody discussing the CPU, RAM, and storage capacity but nobody comments that we’ve moved beyond parallel ATA and the primary master/slave IDE ribbon cable set up!
Back in the 90s, researchers and the tech community basically assumed clock speed would keep increasing. The Pentium 4 even sacrificed IPC in order to chase clock speeds. Crysis was designed with this assumption.
The end of Dennard Scaling meant that the industry had to shift to multi-core designs with software design following suit.
Forget all that. Look at the cache memory.. that’s the real crazy bit
