I’m surprised to learn they even had a marketing budget in Europe.
They’ll just wipe their tears with another undeserved industry buyout. Fuck Microsoft. Seriously. How anyone with a brain can support Xbox after all this bullshit they keep pulling is beyond me.
Microsoft will probably region lock Europe soon enough under some guise of trying to make things better for consumers because they can’t actually compete when the gettin gets tough.

Microsoft, the owner of Xbox, with a multi trillion dollars net worth, is struggling to give marketing funds to their gaming branch Xbox. While Sony, a 112 Billion dollars company, is not.
But, where were those 72 Billions dollars from, when Xbox acquired ABK ? Microsoft. Sooooo … why are they “struggling” to fund the marketing branch of Xbox ?
I’m all for the competition, it is healthy and good. But the decisions from Xbox for the last 4 years are just wrong. NOt a single one was good. They are litteraly trying to buy their way to the top, making false claims and promises. Now, they gradually start to show the lies, and that they are … not that ” consumer friendly” ( not a SINGLE COMPANY in this world is consumer friendly in the gaming industry. Not a single one, never was, never will ).
It is just sad and clearly bad for the future of gaming.
I mean, what exactly do they have to market?
From what I’ve seen Xbox are mostly bought by Americans who also buy Ford because Merica.
I mean they just recently dumped 70 billion on a totally unnecessary acquisition, surely some of that could’ve gone towards marketing 😂
Maybe just try having a better product and service and you won’t need as many marketing dollars.

Maybe the problem is that that marketing budgets are 3-4 times higher then production one. I understand need for a marketing, but marketing these days is putting lipstick on the pig.

Probably because Sony’s consoles and game lineup have always been superior. I mean the fucking xbox controllers still use AA batteries. like you can’t make them with an internal battery like Sony has been doing for nearly 20 years?
