Greetings!
Recently bought an ASRock DeskMini X600 computer:
· Case: X600 barebones
· CPU: Ryzen 7 8700G
· CPU cooler: Noctua NH-L9a-AM5
· RAM: Kingston Fury Impact 2x16GB 6400 mhz KF564S38IBK2-32
· SSD: Samsung 990 Pro 1TB
· Wi-Fi: Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6E AX1675x 210NGW
ASRock's page under "Memory QVL" has the Kingston Fury KF564S38IBK2-32
There are 3 options for RAM in the BIOS:
• Default (JEDEC): DDR5-4800 CL40-39-39 @ 1.1V
• XMP Profile #1: DDR5-6400 CL38-40-40 @ 1.35V
• XMP Profile #2: DDR5-6000 CL38-38-38 @ 1.35V
• XMP Profile #3: DDR5-5600 CL40-40-40 @ 1.1V
If I choose XMP1-6400 or XMP2-6000, I can do everyday tasks just fine, but if I run a game, for example GTA or Fortnite, it takes from a few seconds to a minute and the screen goes black – the game itself remains running. Only restart helps. If I activate XMP3-5600 in BIOS, the games work fine.
Hence my theory that maybe the XMP default profiles are too aggressive for the X600?
I don't know much about OC, but I still thought that maybe 6400 would still stretch the RAM speed, and I did it like this:
- In BIOS I selected "DRAM Profile Setting" as XMP profile: XMP3-5600
- DRAM Performance mode remained "AMD Agesa Default" – "Competitive" and "Agressive" can be selected by default

- Under DRAM Frequency drop-down menu I selected DDR5-6400
"Performance mode" remained "Enabled"

- DRAM Timing Configuration:
DFE Read Training remained "Auto"
Gear Down Mode remained "Auto"
* CAS# Latency (tCL) – was Auto and I changed it to 40
* RAS# to CAS# Delay to Read (tRCDRD) was Auto and I changed it to 40
* Row Precharge Time (tRP) was auto and I changed it to 40
* RAS# Active Time (tRAS) was Auto and I changed it to 80
* RAS# Cycle Time (tRC) was Auto and I changed it to 120
* Write Recovery Time (tWR) was Auto and I changed it to 90
* Refresh Interval (tREFI) remained Auto
* Refresh Cycle Time (tRFC1) was auto and I changed it to 827
* Refresh Cycle Time (tRFC2) was Auto and I changed it to 449
* Refresh Cycle Time (tRFCSb) was Auto and I changed it to 365
* All other settings Auto
I could not change any Volts anywhere.

After applying the changes above, the games ran fine and there was no black screen.
The final picture looks like this at the moment. I would like your opinion, how do you feel, is it OK or is there a setting shift somewhere and the result could be even better?
