The FTC Pushes Back Against Xbox Game Pass Price Increases

  1. Microsoft lured people in with a product that was relatively consumer-friendly and price efficient.

Then, once enough people were hooked, they pulled rug out from under them.

Typical corporate shenanigans in an attempt to extract the maximum amount of dollars from consumers.

    Team FTC.

In all fairness, it’s pretty well documented that Microsoft did say they wouldn’t raise prices and put COD behind a paywall.

But who would’ve thought a trillion dollar corporation would fuck over consumers….

The FTC protecting customers? Better late than never I guess.

What does it mean when they say day one releases are excluded? How long do you need to wait before the game becomes available?

  5. Did Microsoft fuck up and not give out enough unmarked envelopes full of money to the right people or something? Seems like whenever they try to Capitalism they get push back.

Activision Blizzard acquisition faced a lot of push back too.

The FTC is still dead wrong on this. Kind of ironic that they haven’t said shit about Sony, Disney, Peacock, Netflix, etc raising prices but when Microsoft does it then it’s a crime.

So wait, Netflix, Disney, Max, and all the other streams can increase prices on consumers and nary a fucking peep for the FTC. But the second MSFT does they have an issue.

I think someone at the FTC is still just butthurt that they couldn’t block the Activision purchase.

    Ok, now do
    Disney
    Netflix
    WB Discovery
    Sony
    Nintendo

Sure there are more…but only MS gets hit

Cutting workers, having issues with their services and yet still raising prices? Where is that money going?

Game Pass is literally all Microsoft has left to hold significant weight in the gaming industry. Once that’s gone they’re in for a rude awakening as to how they killed console gaming.
