For the life of me I have no idea how that game got an E rating. I assume its why they had to cut content in the western release but even with the cut content it felt very much like a game that was not being all that subtle.

As weird as this sounds, the GBC port was better in some aspects (aside from graphics.) It ditched dating, but the tower was bigger and had better monster mechanics.

Super fun game, so glad to have bought it back in the day. Never could beat it

Monster catching, town building, dating Sim roguelike was a surprise homerun concept back then, and it would be killer now!

I wish Konami would come back period or sell a lot of their IP

I have no idea what game this is, but that hair is wild.

Incredible game. I’d settle for a Switch port. I miss this gem.

This was my first PlayStation game funny enough.

People who made these magical games and their mentality are sadly not there or not allowed to be what used to be. I wish they were, but I don’t get vibes they are.

I remember playing this as a kid before I could really read. The granddad at the beginning has this love exposition bit of, like, 30 dialogue boxes, followed by something like a “I hope you understood all of that. Do you need me to repeat myself?” But the [yes] [no] option defaults to “yes,” so I kept being stuck in this impatient loop of mashing (X), not knowing when it was my turn to respond (could barely read lol), pressing “yes” on accident, and doing it all over again.
Good game. I love getting to kick that smug rich kid’s ass on floor 10 every time. 🔥

When I lay with games like Recettear and Moonlighter, this is the game I am thinking about.

HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL UP.
I played this game when I was 14, it was awesome. I am now 38. You have a harem of 6 women aged 13 to 18. It was made for teenage boys. Playing it as an adult is veeeeery uncomfortable.

Bought this on a whim when I was 16. Little did I know that it had these weird ass dating elements in it, but it was perfect timing for where I was in life and it really pulled me in a lot harder than other games with higher production value and better graphics. That lesson always stuck with me. Great game.
