Someone asked open AI to make them an SEO rich description on metal slug its developer and its genre….. chat bot pulled the old keyword stuff.

I’m a big Metal Slug fan so tried out the Android version of the app earlier today.
The menus, dialog, etc. are all properly done English. Played for quite a while and didn’t see a single misspelling or text that didn’t match the voiceovers.
Ffs it’s like someone just clicked their first auto-fill suggestion over and over.

So, for anyone curious as to how this would actually happen. In the past year, there’s been an emergence of dropping Loren Ipsum placeholder text for AI text. It’s purely a placeholder, but gives a more realistic look as you’re scrolling the design. It’s supposed to be replaced before it goes live.
We replaced a few marketing people with like, two guys using AI for our website. They are getting fired and replaced with humans because the content they put out is 80% garbage. Nature healing or something.
Man… This is saddening. Metal Slug 2 and 3 ate so many of my quarters in this arcade in Italy I’d end up in on vacations. Fell in love with the franchise to the point that the only reason I don’t have a Neo Geo cabinet is because those things are enormous and I don’t have a good place to put one.
So screw this. SNK can and should do better. On a more positive note: most of the classic arcade games are readily available. Play those for some hilarious running and gunning instead.

Wait… I thought SNK still has the rights to Metal Slug? Are they just licensing it out? Game looks bad and micro-transactiony, so either way this is a hard pass. They really need to give this series more love…
