I like to imagine they have the same scanning tech as I do and I get flagged as “potential imminent death”. Kinda like when you get close to a Cyberpsycho and the health bar appears. They know it’s show time. If I didn’t I would still lose immersion. Harder to justify it at lower levels but I’m maxed out atm.

Yeah the new police chase system installment from 2.0 seems to have altered their AI. They weren’t this bad in 1.6 I don’t think.
Yet i can bump sholders with random gangs and they are like “woops my bad”

You scan gonks and can see their rap sheet and bounty. I assume that cops have an even more detailed system and let’s be honest, few have a longer rap sheet than V. If I were a cop and I realized who was next to me and how much they were worth, I too would probably decide to go for it. What does a cop in NC have to lose?
What mods are you running?
I only ever have cops get proximity aggressive if I roll up on an actual crime scene. Otherwise I have to run into them to get a reaction on the street. Don’t know what’s mucked up in your game, but that does appear to be buggy behavior.
I watched an ncpd car t bone a civilian then get out and shoot til the car blew up before getting back in theirs and driving off

I would love a mod that implements a justice system where you can get arrested, have a bounty stick to you, and just not immediately be murdered for walking on a square of sidewalk.

Off topic, but I think that there should he a fine system in cyberpunk. So it’s less gta where the cops practically immediately start shooting but more like mafia where you just lose money

Might be a mod conflict effecting AI of NPC “enemy” characters. This never happens to me unless I’m beheading some gonk ganger for beating someone else up or opening up on a group in a “reported crime” area.
You’ve got to really get aggressive with the NCPD to aggro.
