HP Pavilion 6370z used for the home automation system. Ran 24/7 since about 1998-1999 but seems like the PSU died last weekend. This PC experienced hundreds of power outage over the years (poor electrical network area). Good night sweet prince you made good work.

It looks like it was well taken care of all those years too. It lived a long life.
Going to that big dump in the sky. Rip
What kind of home automation did you have in 1998? Some of my friends had intercoms and I thought that was awesome but didnt require a server
Replace the PSU, it’s not dead yet!
Time to get a Raspberry Pi.
Looks like you have a 3dfx Voodoo 1 or 2 in there; those are still selling for quite a bit , theres a lot of retro enthusiasts after old 3dfx hardware
Turn it into a sleeper PC!!
Shit had a Zip drive!? You dropped a dime on that mf. Top of the line.
Thats a thing of beauty, make it a sleeper pc!
How much you want for it?
Turn it into a shadow/stealth build
This is the exact PC model where I played RollerCoaster Tycoon and Age of Empires II. This is the biggest nostalgia hit I’ve had in a while.
Wow, it’s nice seeing an old PC after so long. The memories came flooding back.
How the hell does it even run if it doesn’t have a clear case and flashy lights?
You should invest in a ups
I’d love a PC like that to gut and turn into a sleeper. Just can’t justify paying anything for a “vintage” PC.
You should build a pc in it again
It’s ATX. There’s a large collector market for these. Don’t fuck with it. Sell it.
~110W down to ~10W probably.
That’s a nice way to save some money.
This is a sweet Pentium II system. Were I nearby I’d offer you $50 for the nostalgia. So many of us either grew with these or (like me in my 20’s), serviced many of these for clients.
Looks like it served your family well for many years. Maybe there is a goodwill nearby that could take it?
Just upgrade your specs
it looks like my first one
You can probably buy a cheap PSU off Amazon and get it up and running again.
Beaitiful!!
ZIP drives were the coolest. Something about these old computers with the sticker that has all the specs just sells me so hard. I’d still buy it today!
Why not replace the psu?
Shoulda got one of those “Never Obsolete” eMachines
Recycle the chassis.
Time to build your dream sleeper PC!!
Now you must do the only logical thing: gut it and build a sleeper with a floppy drive and a 4090 🔥
I want the case.
“Year 2000 compliant” , wow that was the time … it’s still charming
whoa, the flashbacks of walking through best buy with my mom as a kid, looking at all the PCs.
Don’t toss that baddie, get her a new power supply and send it back to the service.
just change the psu
There must be a compatible PSU out there for it
