Windows update is soooo annoying when a machine has bios password or a boot menu… Microsoft is to stupid to realize that this exists.
When i choose shutdown, you fuckin need to shutdown, you can’t reboot.

Mine updates while restarting five times and then has a 75% chance to actually shut off

That’s why I use Linux. I can go months without an update and it still runs fine. Linux is the king in my view.

I haven’t had this problem since I realized update and shut down is where restart normally is. So I tend to shut off my muscle memory when I see the orange dot.

Another day, another reason to thank the Almighty that I’m one of those annoying nerdy assholes who uses Linux (and macOS) instead of Windows. Praise be – Hallelujah, even. I will most likely never have to deal with this sort of misbehaviour from my computer again.

Personally? I always update and restart. Years ago I did a regular update and shutdown, next day had to troubleshoot for 6 hours to get it out of a boot-loop. Couldn’t even tell ya what I did. So now I always restart just to make sure the dumb bastard turns back on.
