I like to pretend the Valentino graffiti is in homage to V. It’d be a cool feature for vendors to know you and give you discounts out of fear. For cops to hear about one guy taking on 20 & 30 people at a time and just deciding to drop the charge because it’s not worth it. I wish you could see yourself reach NC Legend status and have npcs treat you differently because of it.

It’s funny, because I had never encountered it before, but this play through I’m doing every single gig before main storylines. I confronted some idiot teenagers that were gonna steal a bike, and suddenly one went “that’s the merc that died and came back! I heard he’ll just ice you! Let’s get outta here!” And they delta. I stood there thinking… thought I fought you in previous play throughs… so maybe in tiny ways, NPCs do change.

Agreed. Honestly I’d be content with a voice line between V and Claire about Vs own drink, so when they die they get a drink named after them at the Afterlife

Play the game. This literally does happen.

There’s also a gig with the Aldecaldos where you are basically their muscle during a deal and you can threaten the scavs into honoring the deal by telling them about your past encounters with Scavs and what you will do to them. Pretty awesome moment where V gets to flex their rep.

  5. out of topic here but damn i wish v mantis blade or gorilla arms would look like that it look so sick

although i agree but it’s a problem visible in multiple games like cyberpunk mostly rpg

I don’t, that’s not the point of the game’s story and theme

With high street cred and with some specific gigs under your belt a lot of things change. You get better options for threatening people in certain quests, a decent amount of dialogue changes, and people at the afterlife start to recognize you. Notably, Emmerick goes from being gruff and unfriendly to welcoming you in by name

Once again rockstar even in the early 2010 with rdr1 being insanely detailed with the honor system, cyberpunk should’ve actually done more besides lowering the cost of things, and change some dialogue, tho imagine wanting to do some combat and the enemy just surrenders because of who u are

There unfortunately are no living legends 🙁

How would they even know who V is?

The game takes place over a couple of months, with out counting the prologue and 6 month montage (this also includes V is “out of it” for up to a month after the heist), and in terms of impacting NC, they don’t really do anything.

The most impactful thing they do is the kidnaping of Hanako, and it is Takemura that does that not V, and it is immediately swept under the rug anyway by Hanako herself.

I understand the power fantasy the gameplay gives you as V, but in terms of story, they only become a Legend in one ending and that is after a unspecified timeskip.

This is the thing missing for everygame. NPC talking to you differently. It’s the Skyrim syndrome. You’re one of the most powerful entity on earth, well.. Nirn in the case of skyrim, and people still treat you like small fry
