I suppose I will keep my 10900K for a bit longer.

A 200+W processor, nothing bad could possibly happen

Guess I’ll be keeping my 6800k a bit longer.

I’m out the loop, don’t know what this is about

bro just do it like me and upgrade to amd, i always had intel but switched to an 7800x3d a year ago and now i never want to go back.
just wait till the new 9000x3d cpus come out and then upgrade to one of them.

My 13900k since first day (Jan 2023) with Intel PL1 PL2 stock spec and -0.50v offset want lower my temps at load no problem whatsoever to this day with 38k+ CB23 with a NH-U12A air cooler

I’m tired of living in exciting times.

My i7 9700k paired with a Z390 is a beast. I don’t intend to do an upgrade soon, just my gpu for 2k gaming.

I’m pretty happy with my 14700k

  11. SigmaLance

I almost bought into that model with my latest build. I dodged that bullet, but not the 4090 12VHPWR cable debacle. *shakes fist*

Thankfully I undervolt everything I buy, AMD, Intel or Nvidia. When they said to update the BIOS and CPU Microcode I still did it just to be safe.

still sitting with 9900k 😎 waiting to refresh with either 7700x or 7800x3d bundle from Microcenter

10900k was a beast, kinda missing my space heater.

  15. Hychus232

14700k was the biggest leap in power I’ve ever made (coming from Ryzen 3600) and it’s not getting replaced anytime soon

  16. Ah shit I thought it was something I was doing that cause my bsods. But I guess it’s probably some issue with the 13900k. Well that sucks. Been stable lately but I’m always on edge

Bought an Intel 13900k tried it but due to working around the clock never got time to return it now it just sits in the box it came in.

I guess I’ve been lucky, 13900k has been working fine for over a year.

Me and my 10700f: it’s okay pal, I love you

I wonder how the degraded CPUs compare to my i7 8700 at this point

  21. Are they replacing the faulty cpus or leave customers to sort them selves out ?

  22. Hollow_Apollo

I always loved Intel but something told me AMD was better at the time (ended up with a 7900x over whatever it was, 12th gen? 13th?)

To be fair though, that CPU was having widespread issues tied to motherboard voltage or something like that IIRC which thankfully I avoided.

  23. 10900k is insane. Mine is still trucking *hard*. One of the best cpus for its money imo. Followed closely (if not slightly passed by the 7800x3d)

  24. FarmingFrenzy

Gonna make me a secondary system with my i5 9400F I’ve had for years. Good chip

  25. kongkongha

Is there anything that should me make a switch. My 10900k running at 5.1ghz…

13700k in my mini pc – No issues so far.

  27. rumblpak

10900k also has lower latency than the >=11th gen chips. Tech yes city has done a bunch of videos about it.

  28. TakeyaSaito

i’m glad to have stopped at my 11700k, its great! =P

  29. orbitpro

Whats wrong with it? Had a 13900k since launch. No issues

  30. Hammercannon

I’m running my 14900k, delidded, overclocked, 460w in R23, no issues yet, but I’m always looking for an excuse to upgrade anyways lol. If the cpu dies I’ll be able to convince the wife I need an 8950x3d when they launch, hopefully with both ccd on 3d cache

  31. Plutonium239Mixer

I have no issues with my 14900k. I have had it since last October and it’s been on 24/7. It’s only ever been off for restarts to install updates.

Im not a rich USA resident who buys a new gpu/cpu every 6 months, whats happening?

  33. techjesuschrist

Who would have thought that regularly pumping 200W through a single die cpu (not talking about Threadrippers and Server Cpus) will degrade it ?

  34. Thewombocombo91

As someone who usually goes for AMD, I really want Intel to get their shit together. Not just for better competition/innovation, but the Intel users deserve better.

I have a 13900K and recently I started getting NVME errors causing BSOD, system lag, and overall general slowness. This was in games and out of games. All of the errors pointed to a defective SSD. I replaced it with a brand new one. Everything was working well for about 3 months. Now I am having similar problems again.

Looks like it’s time to replace my CPU with something else.

This guy talks about the I/O errors and NVME errors related to 13900K and 14900K: [https://youtu.be/QzHcrbT5D_Y?si=tInasCrM44Lpokfy](https://youtu.be/QzHcrbT5D_Y?si=tInasCrM44Lpokfy)

I mean, this meme was definitely relevant for the 10900K vs 11900K. 😂
