Was at a Walmart just to pick up a thumb drive for a friend and they had three 13900k on clearance for 200$, currently selling my 13700f on eBay.

Fair price for a furnace like that.

I say that with humor because I’m looking at building a system for my racing rig and after looking at cpu prices imma wait a bit

I would switch to intel if I found something like that Damm

WTF. Okay this is the last straw. I’m going to Walmart today to see what I can find

I saw one on clearance months ago at my local wally world.
I watched it for weeks but couldn’t justify picking it up knowing that intel was pushing these to the limit.
Also it would not have been much of an upgrade over the 5800x3d in gaming.
It sold after a month and a half.

Wth. I am at Walmart multiple times per week on average. I’ve never seen them selling any components, much less marking them down. My local Walmarts really need to step up their game.

Nah AMD 3D Cache is where is at. With intel the catch is you got a furnace.

  8. illicITparameters

I need to be more active in the electronics sections of the 2 walmarts buy me.

Now you’ll just have to drop another 200 on something to cool it

  10. I didn’t know that Walmart even sold pc parts

good find! i got my 14700k for that much, but that’s kind of cheating because i get employee discounts lol

Not saying it’s a bad deal by any means….

But a 9 series processor is a marginal upgrade to what you already had. The bigger issue is that the 13900 & 14900 processors have stability issues, and much higher failure rate then all other Intel CPUs.

So basically you’re getting slight performance bump and a much higher likelihood of system instability and CPU failure down the road.

Keep what you have and sell the 13900 for a profit

I’ll assume that OP, like most other ppl, wasn’t aware of the total shitshow that is going on w/ the aforementioned CPUs.

It depends on your current platform of course. Great deal if you are on intel already. Otherwise, not so much if it is a new build and you are gaming.

Nice buy. Fuck the shills, on both sides.

    Enjoy your new toy.

  15. NGGKroze

13900K for 200 bucks is a win, regardless if you are already on Intel platform or not.

  16. ohthedarside

Fair price the discount means that you can afford to run it for 5 mins at high wattage

  17. SIDER250

I couldnt imagine having that in my pc in summer. Summer is so bad where I live, its usually 37-38C and I wish I went with 7600 instead.

    good price

probably see that more often once new intel cpu come out

  19. EventPractical9393

Try not to shit on intel owners Reddit impossible challenge

  20. wtf ok wally world. I usually only see garbage at -5% off in the clearance aisle…

  21. TheVagWhisperer

I didn’t know Walmart sold accessories for my ceramic kiln

  22. naterzgreen

200 is a fantastic deal for a beast of a cpu

  23. trixiebella35

That’s actually a scam. I’m gonna need you to send that to me so I can return it

  24. Global-Pickle5818

i wonder if someone returned that, i got my 4070 that way

  25. mikeydoom

How do people keep finding PC parts at Walmart? None of the Walmarts I’ve been to sell any. 😭
