Finally upgrading my poor potato rig and building a new PC. While looking at GPU spec comparisons I found a 4080 Super on sale for $650. Purchased immediately and 10 minutes later the price was back up over $1,000. Thought I just scored big, extra budget for a nicer CPU. Spent all of yesterday evening planning the rest of the build.
Deal was too good to be true. Card got charged and day later the transaction was cancelled. Amazon support says the charge should be refunded within 5 days and the transaction was cancelled "due to lack of supply at local distribution center" which sounds like BS. Guessing the discount just got botched and they didn't want to eat the loss.

A rule of thumb when buying used hardware if the deal is to good to be true it most likely is trust your gut

You literally posted a screenshot that tells you the actual reason. It’s not because of lack of supply, it’s because the seller you tried to buy it from is a scammer that got caught and banned.
