Such an amazing game. I finally played through it in 50 hrs right before 2.0 dropped thoroughly enjoying it until the unexpected happened. I’ve played games for 35 yrs, created 100s of characters and at thus point have archetypes. Based on what I’m playing at the moment I have generally defined characters the core of which is Slade the shifty rogue. Will do anything for money, generally erring on what’s right unless the pot is just too big to refuse. He was destined to go down in a blaze of glory leaving a giant mark. Then he met Panam and the glory seeking street kid, on the cusp of everything he ever wanted, casts it all aside to take his place in the wilds with his nomad found family. That story hit so hard I just now finally completed a second playthrough. The 2.0 110 hr playthrough of the exact same story and I’m sad it’s done. I will make a different character next time but this has become my canon timeline.
