I wouldn’t ever buy a hard drive again. I’ve been SSD since 2015 and all NVME since 2020. Also who needs 8TB?

I haven’t had a Seagate drive since the early 2000’s, wouldn’t touch one again with a ten foot pole. But if you’re happy with the deal then kudos to you! I hope their quality has improved!

It gets better, try to see if you can warranty it. I had excellent luck with Seagate just replacing any hard drive I complained about when I was younger.
I was very stupid back then, I’d routinely drop hard drives on the ground. Each time they replaced it without asking any real questions
