an exercise and some hints if you want to improve
decide on one parking spot
starting from a 90 degree angle
and 3 feet from the parking space in front of you on your right
(look at the parking space from above and at your car)
save
try to park with only maximum 4 turns of the steering wheel
(and you have to be in first person camera)
be patient and take it slow your car doesn’t have to turn on a dime
failed ?
reload and retry
if you get it once great !
keep reloading and trying until you can’t fail
once it’s done
try to park with maximum 3 turns of the steering wheel then 2 and finally only one (just a casual right turn)
once you can do this try to do it in reverse
the parking spot is 3 feet behind your car at a 90 degree angle
be patient and take it slow again
if you struggle with the keyboard control
=> just tap the accelerator you don’t have to keep pressing
(it’s the equivalent of feathering the accelerator in a car)
same for the left and right you can tap the left and right have a bit more control
if you have a controller or a steering wheel with pedals it’s the best
(you can find a steering wheel with pedals for cheap)
