It’s server desync. It looked to you like you hit their head (I even went frame by frame, you aimed at the head as your bullet fired, so you definitely didn’t miss according to you) but the server has the player at a different spot, and so according to the server, you probably hit their shoulder or something.
Yesterday I took a pop shot at someone, and I missed them completely on my screen, but got a 1 shot head shot down…. I even had a double take, because I’d already started to strafe away because I was sure I missed and then got the down… it surprised me.
Just a shit game basically.
