I fucking hate Ants, THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO DO ABOUT THIS. A barely year old 1440p monitor too.

Use an electric toothbrush to vibrate it to the edge of your screen

  2. Nuttyfriendo

Peel the screen like it’s a sunburn and take the ant out and put the screen back. Duh

  3. ADamnSavage

Something that will probably not return your screen to it’s former glory.

Check your PC for them in your GPU / PSU.

There are types of ants that are attracted to the electromagnetic fields and the heat of the components and they will straight fuck your shit up.

    Better be safe than sorry.

See if you can move it to the middle of your screen and use it as crosshairs in FPS

  6. Same thing happened to my brand new monitor a few years ago, two ants in the middle of the screen. After a while thy dried up and ended up at the bottom.

All I see on this sub lately is bugs in monitors. What’s up with that?

  8. Some times I forget it’s 2024, thought I’d see an archer gif in here

  9. Terro Liquid Ant Bait (the screen is lost unless a repair shop can get that out for a reasonable price ;~;)

  10. Responsible-Use-9508

Just change your background to an anteater, problem solved.

  11. I’m sorry op, but someone has to make this joke

    Just debug your monitor

Look around for a local computer repair shop. They should be able to get the layer over and clean it before re-assembling it. Another option would be to warranty it.

As for ant safeguarding? Well, you’ll want to use liquid ant baits around to keep them from colonizing stuff. Then go outside your house with an insecticide spray bottle and spray all around the exterior, get around windows and crawl space/soffet vents.

After that, just make a habit of vacuuming/cleaning your space so there aren’t food particles. But if these are the type attracted by EM fields and heat… Then yeah you’re gonna need to have traps and stuff setup. Also, you may want to consider spraying along the bottom edge of your rooms inner walls along base boards.

Get a Tero pod and put it near by that stuff attracts ants and kills them

  14. Shadow_1106

Play videos of birds, beat them with psychological warfare.

  15. SpecialMango3384

How in the world are so many people getting literal bugs in their monitors?

  16. Prodigy_of_Bobo

I’m seeing an ant on a monitor… What am I missing? Is it in there somehow?

  17. hot-rogue

    Right click on the ant
Move tool then move it out of the screen
    Or
Right click and delete the ant permanently

  18. Wait hold up that ant is *inside* your monitor screen??

  19. Panthean

For those tiny Satanic ants, Combat Max ant gel did the trick for me.

I usually get them every year. Last year they were just fucking everywhere. I cleaned every crumb of food and they were just going ham still.

The ants went ballistic when I used the gel. It takes ~24 hours to work, so I had to let them gorge.

~12 hours later, they were still going. A few hours after that, I noticed they were slowing down. A few more hours and there was not a single living ant.

It’s been over a year and they haven’t returned. If they do, I’ve got several more tubes ready to go

What’s with all these bugs in monitors recently

  21. Mega1987_Ver_OS

Ants like dark, damp and warm places to set up satellite camps/nest.

It doesnt help if you store/eat food near your pc that’s not in air tight containers.

  22. SaconDiznots

Hey just move it to the middle and voila! a good built in crosshair

  23. That happened with my sceptre monitor.

The monitor stopped working, I miss that ant.

  24. DoYouMeanShenanigans
