So, recently I asked you chooms who you would cast in a live action Cyberpunk 2077 movie or TV show, and it got me thinking, forget the events of 2077, Cyberpunk has a rich lore, and things we can create that are totally new to the world, just look at Edgerunners, so, my question to all of you is, what story will YOU write for Cyberpunk? Will it be set in Night City? Will it be set in Japan? Will it be set in a new place all together? Will you deep dive into the life of a main character or side character? An episodic drama about the day and the life of a trauma team employee
A story from the perspective of one of Jackie’s old Valentino friends, who gets wrapped in the death of Jackie after trying to rob some Arasaka tech as payback, then militech gets involved and they have to choose who to side with and end up being hunted down by the corps.
I’d love to make a series focussed on Alt Cunningham, in a style reminiscent of ‘Queen’s Gambit’.
A story that would culminate in the events of ‘Never Fade Away’.

son of Biotechnica’s CEO became tired of his father’s bullshit and run from him to streets of Night City. he found some chooms and started to complete some small gigs, but then he starts to see weird dreams at nights. he wakes up in a chamber, floating in liquid, connected to thousands of tubes. he feels something is off. his body is changing by will of all those electronics. pain increases, and at the peak point he wakes up. these dreams were BD’s made by AI trapped deep in Biotechnica’s servers, used for top secret cloning project. this programm is created in cooperation with Arasaka, cloned bodies are planned to be used as hosts for engramms. AI torture protagonist with BD’s and messing with his implats, saying it will stop only if he will set it free. this whole thing just came into my mind, i need to sleep more
Story about Saburo Arasaka and rise of Arasaka corporation
How life was a struggle for Johnny before he became a relatively well known musical… Talent… Him working in a synthmeat burger joint and how he actually lost his arm.
A story where all the gangs have been hired by a mysterious fixer to do a job. Each episode would be from the perspective of a different gang and it will all culminate in the gangs meeting up in a big clash. I love the lore and flavour/aesthetic of all the different gangs and would love to have more focus on them rather than a merc protagonist.
V’s Crystal Palace heist, and how it goes horribly wrong, with V’s entire team dying – and it’ll be survival horror style.
Currently I’m kinda interested in the Nomad culture. Wouldn’t mind seeing something about Snake Nation and/or other nations outside of NUSA. Could be something like the Transporter set in year 2055 or so.
It’ll follow an inner conflict between gangs in the city, two members from the gangs become good friends but things start to crumble, doing gigs and collecting eddies but the other friend keeps getting chromed up inevitably leading to him becoming a cyberphsyco that the protagonist has to kill and now the friends gang blames them for him going phsyco, causing him to fight the city in order to survive and finally escape
Story of Skippy, Brendan and Delamain going on an Adventure with that one Cerberus bot that was controlled by Blackwall
The story of someone going cyberpsycho and being recruited to max tac. Their gradual transition, realizing that in order to being competitive in anything anymore, they need cyberware, and eventually getting hooked on out-performing people. Then, as they start to experience cyberpsychosis, max tac shows up, a gunfight ensues, and as he’s finally beaten down by their superior numbers, they decide to take him with them. After all, supremacy is kind of their thing.
A cyber virus rampages through out Night City that turns anyone infected by it into basically zombies controlled by black wall A.I
I’d focus on rogue AI’s and arms race between corporations aiming at them. There are usually back up plans for any possible outcome, experiments are controlled and curated and all that
But, come on, corruption and a pinch of human stupidity is everyone’s and their grandma’s vise here
I’d like to imagine what would it be like for some corporation to fuck up in this field beyond their capability to fix what they did, maybe only temporarily hide it. Then explore the impact it would make and how would they slither their way out of it.
Story about someone trying to destroy a corp (Arasaka/Militech) from the inside. Moving up the ranks, dealing with gangs, and having to do fucked up shit.
Never something connected with V, maybe develop other characters stories, Alt, Rogue, Johnny, or even something not related with any of the game characters but with the same timeline has the game.
A story about a guy(or a gal)that gets shot in the head but somehow survives because of the chip in their head but then the chip starts to slowly kill them and they instead of seeking help immediately decide to hang out with random people and do random stuff unrelated to their terminal illness. They go diving and they go steal a random mech and then they find a talking weapon that part will be fun.they hunt some bounties and kill people for no reason Also they get these random schizophrenic episodes because of the chip where a popular actor will speak to them. I also think I would make that actor act out various sex scenes but I’m not sure I will use them we will see. Then after like 300 hours of content not connected to the chip cancer I will finally make one episode where the character dies or doesn’t or something I don’t know yet that will be the ending . Also they will save the fucking president of the US but even the president won’t be able to save them from the chip cancer instead for some reason they won’t contact the main characters friends and family and tell them there were complications with the surgery. And because of it they lose everything. I bet people will be angry at this plot hole but I just feel like it would be nice to do it that way.

So hear me out: it’s a sad story of a kid named David Martinez….
afterlife legends; where each episode is about one of the drinks that is on the Afterlife’s menu. So we would have new stories about characters that died as legends in NC as well as episode about jackie, Johnny and David.
I wanna make something about the aftermath of VDB demise (i always choose that path), a single survivor from V’s action, maybe a kid that grew up become a legendary netrunner / solo ,that then trying to locate V’s whereabouts (the nomads ending), which V survived the ordeal, and then the showdown between them
The most fascinating thing in the Cyberpunk universe, for me, is definitely the Blackwall.
I would expand on Maria’s story from the “you have my word” comic, honesty I really enjoyed that character and would love to know more about her time as the ruthless killer for the Valentinos
Daily life of a Maxtac officer
A show about someone trying to become a an established fixer and a few mercs also on the come up as main side characters.
Low stakes character dramady about a diner trying to function in Night City.
For a TV show: different perspective from a low-level merc, entry-level Corpo, and NCPD officer. It would show how their lives are importantly different yet also still all afflicted by the general oppression of citizens by the Night City (hyper-capitalist) infrastructure and culture.
For a movie: A young gang member is desperate to escape the criminal life after witnessing particularly heinous violent deeds, but they might need to kill their way out before they’re free because gangs won’t let you simply leave their ranks.
For a next game: You and your best friend up until now end up forming rival crews, and you have to choose how you’ll approach the growing rivalry between the crews you respectively lead: accomplish more gigs before they do, lose out on them, or become increasingly more evil to attain dominance in your city while also competing with the other gangs that are around.
The story of garry the prophet
Short stories (1-3 episodes) building up each fixer backstory up until the events in 2077.

A political/historical drama about how the gang of four was revealed and the quiet war, showing the collapse and eventually how the gang was ousted
A story about how Gerry the Phrophet got to where he is. Imagine Gerry was a Netwatch agent and someone did an inside job done against Netwatch to release a rouge AI, and we follow Gerry to find out who and why they released the AI, and hunting it down. Maybe it can tie into Blue Hands and how he found out so much before he gets some kind of cyber lobotomy.
Essentially just make my dream Blade Runner mini series
The life of Mike from Morro Rock and where he hears all his conspiracies from. Just for more lore dump from the creator…. lol
Jackie’s Solo adventures
100 and 1 way to die in Night City.
Each 20-30 minute episode will start with some gongs corpse and then showing the last 20-30 minutes of their life. There will be ass little dialog as possible, maybe even none. Show will be styled as BD, not unlike BD tutorial.
Pro Tip: Never ever write the main storyline of a video game as the storyline of a film media tie-in, it’s guaranteed to fail.
The storylines we tell in video games are too complex, well developed, and frankly, they’re just too long to tell even in a prolonged series.
If I’m writing a Cyberpunk TV show, I’d write it about a kid who simply exists in the world that the game created. He makes bad choices, gets in with the wrong crowd, but he’s able to find gems even there. He loses himself because of unfortunate circumstances, and while the ending is tragic it’s still a formative and interesting story throughout.
**OH WAIT A MINUTE.**
You can do this for really any side character too, so long as they’re not fleshed out in the game itself. No show about Judy, we know too much about Judy and unless you can get the same voice actress to portray her in the show *and* undergo surgery to look like her, it’s a flop.
But like, Saburo’s years taking over Arasaka? Sure.
* Wow movie? Fail, 3 whole wars and 1000 years of lore in 2 hours? Idiots
* Uncharted? Lol
* Assassin’s Creed? Seriously, I mean that movie wasn’t about anything except screen dust
* Do you even remember that there’s a Need For Speed movie? Sorry to have reminded you
* The Witcher TV show, just a jumbled mess that actually had a lot of promise until they decided to tell 5 novels and 20 years worth of story all at the same time.
* The Last of Us TV show, which while okay, took characters that were too complex to condense down into a handful of hours and tried to do exactly that. I think far too much of the narrative value of TLoU is lost in the show, which in the end is kind of meh.

And then on the other side, you’ve got;
* Arcane. Mediocre game (come at me LoL virgins), *excellent* series
* Edgerunners.
* and of course, the king amongst peasants, Fallout.
You know what all 3 of those have in common? They’re not about the main character or plot of the game they’re based on.
i’m not the type that has a lot of fantasy, but i really ask myself who’s Spider Murphy? Maybe her story is already written and i just didn’t find it (yet) but still i’d like that idea
Personally I think it would be cool to have it build the setting / environment instead of characters.
One episode could be about a trauma team member who takes their job serious but is left to die bc they don’t qualify for trauma team coverage.
Another about an Arasaka employee who is working on “super secret and confidential experimental daemons” only to have it used on them and their existence scrubbed from all records.
A militech mercenary being forced into Cyberpsychosis just for study.
A fixer who ends up having to hire a fixer because they have ruined their reputation and are being hunted.
A netwatch double agent who accidentally slips beyond the blackwall and is consumed by the rogue AI’s.
The possibilities are endless tbh. I personally think the atmosphere of Night City and the current times are what make this series so unique and cool.
I’d definitely do a Love Sex Robots style show for it with segments like Bartmoss and Spider Murph, Blackhand, V early missions with Jackie that’s flashbacks as V is heading to the crystal palace and show a bit more of that mission than the ending shows, a segment showing what *really* happened at arasaka tower, a segment focusing on Militech and a segment focusing on an everyday happy go lucky guy in NC
