I happen to work at a machine shop, so as any sensible person would do, I cut holes in the case for the fans and put electrical tape for safety 🙂
The full process included filing, sanding, using scotchbrite, cleaning with isopropyl alcohol, as well as a few other steps, but I think it’s suitable!
Specs: RTX 3090, 7950x3d, 64gb (5200) ram, 2x Samsung 980pros (one of them is nvme ones isn’t)
The whole project took about an hour, was well worth the time, what do you guys think?

Tape pcmr print out over it and complete
Gives coal rolling ‘Murcian muscle car vibes
Bye bye efficient airflow.
Absolutely mental, but the Noctua cooler deserves it.
I reckon this actually helps the beast.
im crying. just get a different case. please. your airflow is begging you.
I would not get work done at that machine shop after seeing this.
I get it’s a goofy mod, but why not try to at least make it look good? Especially if you work in machining.
Ruined a nice case, why not just buy a cooler that fits or get a bigger case if you have to be a noctua fanboy.
All the people who told him to get an AIO and got their butts downvoted by the air cooler gestapo of PCMR rn:

Also you should consider getting some faster ram, 5200 is leaving a whole lot of performance on the table
I’d finish out those cutouts because they look kind of janky as is
Haha that’s one way to fix the problem. 🙂
You work at a machine shop and don’t do measurements before you start a job/build?
