    I don’t get it. That’s an over 1000$ flagship piece of hardware and you have to fix it yourself… because Palit’s QA is a joke.
    I replaced all pads with Thermal Grizzly Minus Pad 8 (2mm and 1.5mm) and Kryonaut thermal paste. Added 2 additional pads to the outer side of the PCB to spread some more heat over backplate. Worked like a charm.
    Don’t mind 80° temps after the modification. I’m using Silent Bios – it’s intentional.

    Most likely a QA failed one but someone must of been dozing off and put it in the pass tray. I’ve only received one GPU like that in over twenty years and it was an Asus. I would contact Palit. Play the roulette and see if they give you back some money.

    Please help, I don’t know what’s wrong with me but I can’t see the issue – are those not the thermal pads on the cooler? (Talking about the ones that line up with the bare VRAM chips)

    3 weeks ago, the better question is why were you so dumb to open it up and possibly damage/lose the warranty?

    Get that bad boy returned or replaced, you paid way too much to be messing with it at 3 weeks old!

    I have a question actually, are gaming laptops supposed to use thermal pads or thermal paste last time dell fixed my motherboard and cooling system as both broke within warenty they did pads on cpu/gpu?
