sfc /scannow is the equivalent of running out of ammo, and throwing the pistol
I love it tho, because I can run it on a users PC and they are mysterious CMD window and think shit is happening while I actually troubleshoot the issue on my PC.
Dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth if I wasn’t able to troubleshoot your issue in the time it took for an SFC to run
even though the word “ransomware” would make my head turn, you’ve no idea the amount of people that think that every little thing that goes wrong is “a virus” and will argue with you ad nauseam even when you show them multiple clean virus scan reports
sometimes the malware is the user

You can give every single detail about the thing, the logs, the solutions you tried, and they will still be “umm have you ran sfc /scannow or DISM /check-health’
