You might have to use the ak 74 u.
The Kastov is a MWll weapon. It was a very weird system to unlock guns and attachments, you would have to use different guns to other guns and attachments.

best advice is just focus on leveling up, periodically check to see if you can equip it if you can’t just keep going, challenges on this game are fucking annoying
