I heard that’s a big detractor of that game, I hope it’s still a good game overall?
I started yesterday cause its on game pass. It wasn’t that bad I’ve had worse like the latest metro seemed like a super slow start too me. I think you’ll enjoy it once you pass this part.
Callisto Protocol was super fun. Got it for free off Humble Bundle, installed it, sat for 10 minutes on the first loading screed, Alt+F4d the game, fiddled with some suggested settings, sat for 5 more minutes on the same loading screen, uninstalled the game.
I want a refund.
I actually enjoyed this game and the DLC, but i agree that slowing the player down artificially for no reason is bad
Tutorial voice sounding annoyed: Sprint button has been modified to “infuriatingly slow zombie like shuffle” during the tutorial, and you’re welcome. If you continue to complain we will introduce escort missions where you walk 4x faster than what your escorting or are half the speed when you let go of sprint. If this keeps up we bring back fetch quests.
I tried it on PS5, just felt like a worse Dead Space. Currently playing DSR on pc :p

I like a slow tutorial, introducing new mechanics as time passes. In some games, i am overwhelmed and miss some and I have to waste time on research on Google / youtube, then find easy encounters to practice (like dead eye in rdr2)
