My hype for this game was already high, but hot damn this looks amazing.

Nice I’m even more pumped now.
China has had some good stuff come out of it recently, after years of mostly cell phone trash. Unlocking the talent in that country is going to be great for gaming in the coming years I bet.

I like the Attack animation its so mezmerising seeing the moneky king dance with that staff, And its makes sense too, whoever made it really understand angular momentum conservation Physics, Like it looks doable in real life

The inability to parry melee attacks is a very intentional choice. The Developers did not want their game to be a poor imitation of a game that already exists. Instead the focus is on perfect dodges to power up your staff.
So far there is No AAA Action Game that is entirely focused on Staff Combat except for Black Myth Wukong.
The Combat is very centered around charging your staff to unleash BIG Attacks.
You mainly power up your staff by either Perfect Dodging or attacking with your normal light attacks.
The light attacks you can perform tend to be very quick with lower damage but also low commitment, allowing you to perfect dodge to charge up your staff.
Once you’ve charged up your staff… You can knock Flying Creatures off their pedestal by Extending your staff. I wish you could do this with the Insect Glaive in Monster Hunter.
Most people have seen this move from the trailers but it’s probably really good for any bosses that spams AOE Ground attacks.
Besides Perfect dodges, you can also charge up your staff by Parrying Ranged Attacks.

Zero genuine level design showed whatsoever. There was only one gameplay footage that included some level design and it was literally some semi-open desert area with 2 enemies tops & looked all the same. Everything else is just boss rush.
Also dude on video glazing over how good it is, pretty funny.
