Open it and separate the board and toss it in the dishwasher, not joking. Check YouTube for washing circuit boards in dishwashers
I would try and use a soft-bristled toothbrush, isopropyl alcohol, and try to gently scrub away at it. As it may seem like it is certainly toast, you can always try.

Disassemble the board. Soft toothbrush with isopropyl alchool. Clean all of the oxide, let it dry and then connect it back to see if it works.
With that much water damage there is going to be corrosion you cannot see/clean, its fucked imo!

putting that thing in a PC risks damaging the rest of the system
PS, if you ever see a heap of blue on a GPU, never use it, its advanced copper rusting,
so your gpu is quite literally being consumed by rust

Try soaking the board with 90 percent isopropyl and scrub it with a toothbrush. Or better yet, get a better graphics card. That one’s shit anyways.
Others left some good comments. But I’d use a old pc to test it afterwards. Check if the psu can provide enough power too
Bit of duct tape and some WD40 and you should be right.

While it’s very damaged, if nothing shorted just cleaning it up could still work, if there’s enough solder to maintain connections. I’d just wash it under tap water after full disassembly of the PCB, then use isopropyl and toothbrush to wipe it itll none of the oxide (green stuff) remains. Definitely possible to clean it. I once saved a laptop motherboard that looked slight better, but not much better than this. Basically do exactly what others have said.

As someone who does hardware engineering and pcb design; That is probably one of the worst looking pcb ive ever seen outside of a fire or intended demolision.
You MIGHT be able to save it by being incredibly careful but i suspect all the extremely thin tracers are fucked at this point.
In comparison: What ESD does to a component is killing its traces through basically vaporising a part of it and creating a dip in the trace. that dip later keeps on growing untill the resistance is shit enough to not be useful or the wire dies off completely.
Corrosion works the same way.
If you really want to, take this board to a pcb repair shop and ask them to try and save it. It will most likely not be doable within economic or feacability limits but its worth a shot.
Just buy a new one.
U can definitely clean it. If nothing has shorted yet, it will still work. If it has shorted already, you could still repair it, but you would need to be like northridge fix.
Let it sit in a tub full of 99% IPA for an hour. Let it dry completely, you can use a hair dryer. Use a SOFT toothbrush to clean it best you can. Thats about all you can do, and pray for the best lol.

It’s only a 1650, buying an ultrasonic cleaner or sending it for repair probably isn’t worth it as you can find them for £40 locally
It’ll, die pretty soon, after years of boardwork I’d give it 3-6 months, contacts on solder joints eventually errode away and lose contact, then arc and kill the component, this can chain across the track to following components, I would sadly say this is a fire hazard.
That’s beyond fucked, could have been saved before it sat on the side but it’s way too late for that.
Water + Electronics is bad. *Saltwater* + Electronics is much much worse. Corrosion is a killer

Looks like your GPU took playing ‘Last of Us’ a little too seriously.
It’s possibly bad, possibly not. I had a RTX 2060 that I (in my younger dumber days) spilled a full cup of water on into the PC and when it dried, it worked alright but had occasional stuttering. I didn’t realize the backplate still had moisture under it, and when I went to check it out, it looked exactly like this. I cleaned it with a toothbrush and isopropyl alcohol, let it dry, reassembled, and haven’t had issues since, still using it years later in my second pc for guests.
So the bottom line is it could be fine or it could have issues. It’s best to stop using it and clean it asap to avoid further damage. If it was working fine and you just happened to notice this corrosion, chances are the card is fine and cleaning it / closing the case will prevent further damage.

I see many are suggesting you try to clean it. Well, you could, but the problem is that in worst case you could damage the motherboard. Unlikely, but possible. Much more unlikely is that this can be cleaned, it’s almost certainly busted.
