I recently built a PC for a friend that was moving out of state. I salvaged this Corsair 1000D from a local kid that was having an issue building his first water cooling loop. He got frustrated and sold everything to me for the cost of the case at MSRP. I call that a big win. The pc originally had a 2080 super but there was a mishap when I was trying to convert the card back to air cooled. Luckily I had a friend who had a spare 1070 laying around. Its not that big of a deal considering the build is for a friend who will slot his 6700 in. I only paid full price for the AIO and all of the etsy purchases.
For those curious the CPU sits at 26C, the GPU mid 40’s. Airflow is fine. I chose low humidity plants that don’t require a lot of water. I put rocks on top to trap in what moisture they do get. The plushie isn’t obstructing airflow and the chance for static is fine. I asked Cthulhu to go touch grass. So he’s grounded.
