For clarity, pressing the jump button as part of the slide cancelling button combination causes you to wall mount if performed while looking at a mountable wall.
Secondly: when mounted in general, regardless of if you had your secondary equiped before doing the mount, the game defaults to equipping your primary when you dismount. I have no idea why. But the combination of these two quirks completely boned me here.

that’s a big issue along with the good old backwards mantle when in gunfights
typical…. the way the characters just holds on to any ledge, object, wall, etc, its the worst thing this game has lol it enfuriates me more than anything else

Yeah this has got to be an MWIII/WZ3 thing, I don’t think this was an issue in WZ1 and I definitely never made the number of unintentional mantles as I did in MWIII

I’m sure there’s something in the settings but why didn’t you just hop the wall to the left after plating you had him. What was the point of trying to break his camera
Bring the down votes but if you slide around like a hockey puck you deserve to fuck up and die every once awhile. I think the slide cancelling is gimmick that stuck that shouldn’t be further catered to.

I think they added a setting a few months back to prevent this
Have you tried disabling auto mantle and remap the button for mantle (if it’s getting in the way) that what I did but I’m mnk so it’s probably a little different for controller, but yeah swap to primary is kinda bs
Brother said I’m abusing all movement and aim assist and it’s not enough. Turn off ground mantle noob.
