Hey,
I recently upgraded from 7700K to 14700K. I'm using it with PRO Z790-A WIFI bios ver. 7E07vAB (latest stable).
I'm trying to establish a baseline with my new build but I'm having issues with either temps, speed or stability.
I did my tests through Cinebench r23. My fans are on a 100% and my CPU cooler is a Noctua D-15. With 4 intake fans in total and 3 exhaust. XMP enabled. Ambient temp is around 25c. Contact frame installed. iGPU enabled.
My main use case for this build is gaming and some productivity work.
I would like some help to get the optimal settings running so I can take them as a baseline in order to OC the CPU down the road if possible.
Things I tried so far in order to get stable 5.5ghz with acceptable temps.
Changed from water cooler to tower cooler to stock cooler
Changed the modes from level 1 to 9 and do multiple runs
Best I got is 35698 score with Mode level 6. However the temps where high and reached throttling according to HWinfo. Screenshot here https://imgur.com/a/nOtfs8z
All other runs had either much lower score -1K points with better temps or BSOD/Cinebench crashes.
Thank you in advance.
