Is my gpu dying or is it just the game?

  1. This looks like in the OG DOOM games when you would turn on noclip.

Likely a GPU issue but not necessarily dying. Updating drivers or using an older driver version may fix this if it’s just one game that does it.

If multiple games, and/or if you notice your temps getting too high, you could attempt a few things.

    1. Adjust fan curve, more air moving will keep card cooler. Underclock memory slightly, or turn down voltage slightly.

    2. Remove heatsink and reapply thermal paste… and likely thermal pads. This will almost certainly fix any overheating issues but you’ll need some confidence in your abilities.

    3. If GPU is new and this happens in multiple games, RMA for replacement.

Don’t suppose you’re on acid and you’re letting us in on your trip?

  4. Well zoinks! I don’t think that was a micro dose, scoob!

What game is this? Any updates / patches?

  6. In this game, you are a robot with a damaged gpu, and you just have to struggle through failed perception.

Im gunna chop it up to it being a Dying Light 2 issue tbh

Game looks fine. Are you sure you’re not tripping on some serious shit?

  9. This looks more like the level didn’t load rather than a GPU problem. You commonly get this in “the void” of games where you are outside the level geometry and there isn’t any form of skybox or box holding anything. You are literally in a space of nothing so the after images just get burned into the background

Put some Juno Reactor background music and try tu pull off a run

I see this when I go out of bounds in some games. Could be the games fault

  12. Back in the day my old HD4850 used to do this after installing bad drivers, an update or downgrade on driver version was the fix.

Your GPU smoked salvia, it should solve itself after 3-5 minutes

Stop enabling your gpu’s drug habit.

That’s not the type of artifacts I’ve seen when a GPU dies usually you get random sections kind of freaking out this is the land of LSD tracers same way that happens when a GPU driver freezes we’re back in the day when you loaded too many windows and you had a ram overflow
