that would be Silent Hill 1 and 2 for me if we’re talking about spooky
RE is more jump scares

oh but yes… that particular level… they did nail the spooky. it was pretty well done.

I couldn’t agree more! The eerie setting and intense gameplay really make Resident Evil 8 Village a top-notch spooky experience.

I still need to play this. I keep putting it off thinking there will be a lull in amazing games that keep grabbing my attention, but the lull never comes.
I should just buy it and let it taunt me in my library until I give in.

The doll house segment nails it.
The opening is very solid.
Lady D’s segment is just a puzzle / chase sequence (it’s fine)
And the bad guy’s segment is at best forgettable with a hilarious and unfitting finale.

Yeah, this chapter gave me some nightmares a few days.

The rest of the game isn’t very scary, but House Beneviento is the scariest shit in the entire franchise.

It’s nuts in VR 💀
LostRequiem1
Absolutely…then it all goes downhill from there, imo.

I hate the dolls.

Why do I feel like offering it tea?

Oh god, that level was the worst. Village is the only horror game that I wasnt too weeny to finish.

The baby part in House Beneviento might be the scariest thing in the entire series – also the DLC back in the dol house was completely worth it.

Is it better in first person or third person?
Really? I was never really that creeped out.
