It’s a shame, first name sounds more powerful. I hope we get a dragon age game that is at least of the approximate quality of origins.

For what reason was it changed? The first one sounds better.

Kinda concerning, dreadwolf felt like a big choice to go with

The Veilguard to “capture what this game is all about.” The game will focus on seven different characters that will serve as your companions. While the Dread Wolf still “has an important part in this tale,” your character and the companions are “at the heart” of what the game has to offer. As such, BioWare opted to change the name.

“We changed the name as the original title didn’t show just how strongly we feel about our new heroes, their stories, and how you’ll need to bring them together to save all of Thedas,” BioWare said.

    – for anyone wondering why the change.

Like many, i also agree that Dreadwolf is cooler, but Veilguard makes more sense to me since we are going to the city of mages(forgot the name) in this game, we are probably going to learn more about the fade.

Its already been 10 years since Dragon Age Inquisition came out, talk about building off that Game of the Year hype!

Fine with me. The game is important. They could name it “Dragon Age – poop on a stick” for all I care. So long as the game is good.

By the sound of it, Solas won’t be the only major antagonist we face. It’s already been hinted that he’s not the only ‘God’ causing trouble. If there is more than one big bad than naming the game after just one probably wouldn’t fit.

I do think ‘Dragon Age: Veilguard’ would sound better, but I guess we won’t really know until the game drops if the article is actually warranted or not.

I wonder if this one’ll be the nail in Bioware’s coffin.
