I cannot shame anyone for putting their GPU vertically. This is just common sense at this point.

I won’t knock anyone for having the standard fishtank full of rgb fans build, I just don’t understand the need to post pictures of it to this sub as though its something unique rather than just the most basic PC build at this point.

More importantly the A chipset motherboard, an overpriced AIO or a bad stock cooler, off brand RAM and SSDs and an explosive PSU.

Funny story of how I ended up with it. I pickup weekend shifts at a bar in town that I worked at before getting my day job, and was working there one night. It was pretty slow, so me and the other bartender were drinking. She plays PC games and I told her I was looking into getting a new PC soon. I started pricing out ones within my budget to show her what I was considering, and accidentally clicked OK one too many times on the order page when looking at one near the higher end of my budget. Since I had a buzz, I just said, “well my new PC is on the way” lol. If I were sober, and has the knoledge I have now, I would change a few things, but its been nothing but great to me. Even with PCVR games (which is the main reason I ordered it. I got it like 3 months after getting a Quest 2, and now have a 3).

I always thought the idea of this is kind of silly, since very very few people do anything truly “custom” or unique to make a one of a kind PC unless you are making watercooling loops or throwing a screen in there. Some people make custom cases which are cool, but builds with just put together and purchased parts are normally a bit boring after a while as people are just kind of assembling pre-designed stuff.
Not everything in life has to be “original”, but I do understand the fatigue folks get when they see the same posts constantly. I get that a lot on the battelstations subreddit where it feels like people keep making setups devoid of personality with generic fake plants and cheap acoustic panels, but no art or personal knick knacks
