Elden Ring
Minecraft’s the obvious one if you haven’t tried that yet,.kids adore it.
Ratchet and Clank is a top tier exploration game that is very suitable for kids
They did just announced a new Astro Bot game, though I don’t know when it comes out.
They just announced a sequel that is a full game a few days ago. Comes out in September. My 9yo (first played when she was 7) loved this game she’s played through the whole game twice and loves the time trials. She’s excited for the new one.
Sackboy A Big Adventure
Alba: A wildlife Adventure. It’s all about taking pictures of animals and tells a cute story about a small village.
Tinykin! This is such a great exploration/ puzzle game.
Bugsnax and Frog Detective
Toem.
You have a list of things to photograph in an isometric cartoon world. There is some clever puzzle solving.
Not sure if you still can buy it but Disney infinity is perfect for kids. You can even turn it into Minecraft with Disney characters.
Gravity Rush is another chill game where NPCs react in funny ways. The story gets weird and dark later though.

You play as a cat and its very simple controls wise and play wise. All you do is knock stuff off counters, basically create cat centric havoc lol

Also look at Ratchet & Clank, Little Big Planet, Little Kitty Big City (short and cute), Lil Gator Game (also short and cute) if they’re available for PS. I got them on XBL GamePass for my daughter and we love them.

Lego Games. When my Kids were younger we’d spend hours playing Lego Marvel Superheroes and Jurassic Park.
I would def check out Tchia. Very chill game for the most part, and the protagonist is a young girl.
A Short Hike, Donut County, Pikuniku, and Sable
LITTLE KITTY BIG CITY!!!! it’s an awesome exploration game, easy controls, fun animal friends, zero combat, plus you’re a CAT! Who doesn’t love that?
