Probably a little bit of both. Hades is one of if not the most widely popular roguelites ever. Even with people who really don’t play roguelites.
It’s like what Star Wars is to the sci-fi genre but of roguelites.
I specifically check out supergiant games to see what Darren Korb’s cooked up.

To be fair it’s katchy.
I don’t like that boss fight but the music and quips. brings it up on a lot of level.
