Not bad, a few weird things here and there but nothing they can’t iron out as the game approaches release. Main thing I dislike is the combat but tbh, I doubt you could remake the original combat to the letter in today’s world and have people enjoy it lol same with the OG dialogue

Sorry but no looked like a soulless stock 3rd person RE flavor of the month steam horror game with too shaky combat animations and a strange clean visual style closer to homecoming.
Felt too much like bait with the yamaoka OST and heavy focus on selling the merch to the starving fans which they showed an absurd amount of.
More interested in the Silent Hill f game if it hasn’t gone completely awol at this point.

They need to delay this game another 5-6 months, it’s not ready to come out this year.
1- Fix the animations. The way characters, move, fight, talk, the way their faces move, etc looks bad. It’s just bad.
2- Re-do some of the voice acting. Some of it was pretty good, other portions were flat and poor.
3- combat needs to be reworked. Sorry, shit looks boring, poorly animated and janky. The way the melee weapons connected especially is just….trash.
4- it needs more identity- will discuss below.
Overall, the environment looks stunning. The music was top notch, and they definitely nailed the overall vibes. However I still felt like I was watching a resident evil 2 remake fan mod. If you watch when James picks up the healing item, it’s literally the exact same UI from the resident evil remakes, the way it zooms in, the angle, etc. It’s like they’re trying to copy the RE remakes and paint a silent Hill skin on it, yet they don’t have the polish, skill or understanding of how to make a resident evil remake, so the end result is this weird half baked project that feels…low quality.

Watched this and the oth 13 min gameplay trailer and honestly it looks pretty good. Combat was pretty cool, at one point it showed James attacking a nurse with a pipe and the nurse catches it, blocking the attack, then James kneecaps her with the pistol and then pipes her on the dome.
Melee seems to be it’s own button since going from gunplay to melee looks pretty quick. Overall I think this latest gameplay trailer looks better then the one a few months back. Heck even the facial animations look better. Pistol still sounds a little meh, but ah well.
Overall I still dont think it will reach the level of the Dead Space or RE2 remake, but it looks pretty good. Good enough for me to feel excited to give it a play through since it does look visually really good.
