Siege was cool when it first released & it was all me & my buddies played for a good while, clocking in thousands of hours each, high plat /diamond. I think I fell off the train shortly after they introduced Lesion & sometime before Nomad. I’m not a fan of where they took the game & nowadays when I see gameplay regarding Siege, it just looks so dumb. We moved onto Ready or Not, just wish it had pvp.
And it will make Ubisoft a shit ton of money anyway.
I remember when everyone talked shit about the Fallout 76 subscription, but even so it made Bethesda a lot of money.
There will always be people willing to pay if they enjoy the game enough.
Glad I never spent a single cent on Siege but only the game itself at 20$ in 2016.
It was fun at begin, not it’s just a dumpfire garbage and I stopped playing like 2 years ago or so. Every operator I unlocked by playing it and never buy any with real money.
Wise decision.

Paying a subscription for individual games is the peak of idiocy. You pay more than you otherwise ever would for a game that has an upfront price. Subscription like Gamepass is one thing. But for individual games? Fuk no. That was stupid with World of Warcraft and is still insanely stupid today.
Ubisoft can’t perish from this industry soon enough. Same is true for every other studio / publisher entity trying to anchor this garbage into the industry.

Shame really, as it used to be really good. There’s certainly still some fun to be had with it, but can’t say I was a fan of the direction it went in.

I’m not gonna lie, I hate greedy devs as much as anyone, but you will never get me to be mad at them for introducing paid content that is 100% cosmetic. The price could be “connect your bank account and it literally just drains it” and I wouldn’t care. Just don’t buy the skins

The only subscription I have paid for a single game (non-mmo) is stellaris. I paid for all the DLC access for 6 months for $30. Only reason is bc I’m not shelling out over $300-400 in dlc content for that game. I love stellaris but that’s crazy. I hate what gaming has turned into. I feel like I grew in the golden age of gaming with back with my SNES, N64, Playstation, ogxbox. Old school mmos.
