Part of me hopes the next cyberpunk has more ‘party’ based features, kinda want to put together my own crew and run gigs like Maine and later David does in Edgerunners.
I feel like that’s how the pen and paper version of cyberpunk would play out, but that’s not really something CDPR has done, and it would be a pretty massive shift. Maybe they could do some form of a hybrid system where you have your ‘crew’ which is really just a list of NPCs you’re friendly with, and that you can call up to join you on gigs, and depending on the character maybe they have some special abilities.
Yeah, like, I wish we could have called up our romantic partners and just gone around NC doing side missions and shit with th helping along the way. Could make stealth missions a pain, but a lot of games will make npcs invisible to the enemies unless they see you first, so that’s easy. Could be so fun, to just be walking around the city, and every once in a while we activate a mini cutscene where they give us a lil sneak smooch
