Does anyone else think *”Xdefiant”* is a stupid fucking name for a game? It’s a 90’s sounding kind of lame.

How many uninstalled after 1 game is the real important stat
Rod_MLCP
put it on steam and maybe i’ll try it
Cgking11
It’s a fun game. kinda like overwatch with real weapons.
kingOofgames
Eww Ubisoft connect for PC play. I might try it in Xbox.
Basic_Riddler
Ubisoft will find a way to kill in within 6 months. It still has “new game” hype…wait for all the cheaters to get in and run everybody else out while Ubisoft sits back and does nothing about it because people are still buying skins. 🤷♂️
Bustincherry
Ubisoft connect just refuses to work on my pc and I can’t be bothered to try and fix it for this game. Maybe I’ll give it a shot on my ps5
atom631
i tried it and I feel like the audio is terrible. I couldnt hear any footsteps at all and I have a decent headphone setup.
TJ_Cali
It’s a free to play game that came out a few days ago. Of course the numbers are going to look good. Give it a few months and we’ll see if it’s successful.
MyFriendMaryJ
Tried it. Its easy, fun enough for a free game, not a cod killer
DaisyCutter312
Breaking News: Shiny new thing is shiny and new.
From what I’ve seen it looks like they tried to mash together COD and Apex Legends and it didn’t quite come out as polished as either of them. We’ll see where it stands in a month.
ohwut
I think we’re just going to keep seeing these huge concurrent spikes for new launches, nothing is interesting anymore. The hype cycle is endless and attention spans are lower than ever.
It’ll be dead in a month. Servers shut down in a year or two.
Baman2113
This shouldn’t be that surprising when it’s a free game and the landscape for this kind of game is pretty barren right now.
Asmodean-WOT
yeah yeah
we’ll talk again in 2 months
TheRatpist
I tried and it’s not for me.
On my second game I was matched against almost all level 20s that kept spawn-killing us.
Ttk is too fast for the gunplay. Also the mtx prices are way too high.
Let’s see how many players will retain after 1 month.
Powerglove2000
I thought it was pretty neat. I like that matches are pretty quick so you can hop in for a match or two whenever.
goopped
It’s a ubisoft game, it ain’t gonna last.

I don’t understand why people compare this to CoD so often. I haven’t played the betas, but this feels nothing like the old CoD games. In my opinion, the spells (or whatever they are called) are far too impactful. Seeing things like shields or invisibility in a shooter that isn’t a hero shooter is really strange to me.
It’s not my kind of game, but I’m happy for everyone who enjoys it.

CamNM1991
Cool and 80% of those players will drop off in the next 2 to 3 months.
vaikunth1991
That’s impressive for a game that didn’t launch on steam on pc
Kaasunaamari55
Is it good?
Somarset
The name is stupid and I cringe saying it irl, but the gameplay is clean, the maps are fun, and the shop actually feels optional and paid items don’t take away from the gameplay at all
So there’s lots to like. I’ll definitely keep following this game. Maybe it’ll develop a bit on the maps because this niche of shooter has a good bit of creative freedom
yawn18
sounds fun but it isnt in steam and don’t feel like messing around with ubisoft launcher. Hope everyone else has fun playing it though.

It has its problems but it obviously reaches its target audience. If it gets updates consistently I’ll keep playing it
Fun game, ttk is a bit out of wack for me, but it was pretty fun to snipe and reverse the maps.
Concurrent players for a recently released AAA f2p game doesn’t say much. Check again in a year to see how succesful it was.
Just look at [Halo Infinite](https://steamdb.info/app/1240440/charts/#max) and [The Finals](https://steamdb.info/app/2073850/charts/#max)
