So now you have to put all three parts together to make a graphics card like those weekly magazines where you’d eventually make a replica of a ship.

Sounds like repasting later in its life is going to be a pain.

Each card need its own 12vhpwr I assume.

So essentially, an eGPU? If I/O, PCIe gonna be separate that is.

Why not just make a gpu sized pc? Surely that would be easier? I mean how much sag can one gpu take? I’m actually down for secondary graphics mother boards at this point tbh. Sick cooled gpus just ain’t it anymore chief

the 4090 is enough for the next few years…..i mean you can play games and heat your house.

Card, cooler and power cable. Exactly like 40 series.

Iq barrier will hopefully keep trogs out of my online games if all the manufacturers work together on this.

    IKEA version. External power supply.

  10. So I could use my yearly Lego budget to buy one

It would seem, that the 600W Founders edition rumours were true. Imagine a 750W high-end OC edition of this card. My +400W 7900 XTX already feels like a decent heating solution for my room, but 5090 with OC would be able to heat my entire house, not just my room.

Powered by a v8 engine for optimal performance

The highest end of GPUs are usually reserved for the 1% enthusiast, no matter how big that mf is, people will buy it out of the love of their hobby or having the best, so whatever the fuck is it, shit dont matter as long as we squeeze the best FPS available, but ill pass lmao.

What jensen cooking bruh hope the 5060 or 5070 is a worthy upgrade from the 3060

Separate power supply and case for just the GPU is starting to look legit 🙂 power it up for gaming, otherwise run on the integrated gpu.

I honestly don’t care for the 50 series. My 4080 is enough at this point and I haven’t run into any games I’m gonna need a 5080 or 5090

  17. I get it now, the GPU goes in the tower and then you plug in your peripherals, motherboard, CPU, etc.

  18. Last generations have esentially been: clocking up vram to sun surface temp, make the fans bigger, and thats it

The only way they got better is because they invested on AI upscaling and frame generation. It is cool, but everything else in the gpu is being held by infinitely rising frequency, voltage, and temp.

  19. We’re back at the 295GTX but it’s THREE PCBs now.

They decided on three parts because that allows them to charge for each part.

So, the GPU itself, a nuclear reactor to power it, and a fire station in case something goes wrong
